What was the worst movie of 2009? According to the Razzie Award nominations, which were announced this morning, the five contenders for that title are G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, Old Dogs, Land of the Lost, Transformers: Rise of the Fallen and All About Steve. That last film also featured one of the worst actresses of 2009: Sandra Bullock, who has otherwise had a more honorable year with Best Actress wins at the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards (and an expected Oscar nomination, to be announced tomorrow morning) for her dramatic turn in The Blind Side and a Best Actress Golden Globe nomination for The Proposal. Her competition for the Razzie includes Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Sarah Jessica Parker and Megan Fox (for both Jennifer's Body and the Transformers sequel).

Worst lead male performances of the year came from Will Ferrell, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, John Travolta and all three Jonas Brothers, who share a nomination for their eponymous 3-D concert film (did they not just appear as themselves?). The Jonas' are also up for the Razzie for Worst Screen Couple, where their challengers include Kristen Stewart and "EITHER Robert Pattinson OR Taylor Whatz-His-Fang." Twilight fans will be furious to learn Pattinson is up for Worst Supporting Actor and New Moon is nominated for Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel and Worst Screenplay, too. Surprisingly, the first film in the franchise avoided any nominations last year.

Muse, who appeared on the soundtracks for both Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon, has had a big day in news.

For starters, the band has been nominated for a 2010 BRIT Award (for British Group). The BRIT Awards are a huge gathering of some of the brightest stars in the music universe, so it's a huge (albeit well deserved) honor to be a part of the nomination crowd for this particular pool. Check out more information on the nominees here.

Secondly, the band has been confirmed for Coachella 2010, according to the Los Angeles Times, and so have a lot of their friends on the Twilight series albums.

Included on the Coachella 2010 roster are Grizzly Bear, Thom Yorke, Band of Skulls, and MUTEMATH.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon is nominated for the ShoWest Fan Choice Award, for the ShoWest 2009 Movie of the Year.

New Moon's got some stiff competition in this poll, as it is up against the following films: 2012, Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Avatar, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs, Monsters Vs. Aliens, Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian, Star Trek, The Blind Side, The Hangover, The Proposal, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, Up, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The winners of this voter-driven contest will be announced on March 18th at the ShoWest awards ceremony. Voting for the contest is available here.

As an aside the ShoWest conference takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada and Fandango, who is hosting the voting poll, is also sponsoring a contest for travel to the conference (and the link will come up after you vote).

OKAY! so i won a contest, from Twilight's official twitter.. so i've been communicating via phone and email with Summit Entertainment as to when the phone call will take place depending on availability.. and today was the day of the phone call!!

Chris said he was glad I won the contest and that he really enjoyed my questions! =]]

the following, due to demand and my own desire, are my questions and Chris Weitz's answers! (some parts are paraphrased)

1.) How nerve-racking was it to know you had to relocate several location for New Moon?

A.) It was really nerve-racking because I thought people would notice and be upset, it was a puzzle to get it just right. The outside of the school is all CGI, we built the stairway for the school and took stills. In the Cullen's house I also tried to show different rooms in the house to add to the feeling of the house. When Taylor was traveling during Twilight a fan gave him a hand-carved Native American ornament. We used that ornament in Jacob's room in New Moon.
